Easy plug

Easy plug is a set of two rubber plugs: for a basin and for a bathtub. Both side of the plug are spherical, that allows plugging the basin without placing the plug exactly in the middle of the waterhole. This is an alternative solution for people with fine motor problems, impaired vision, for the elderly and children.

The basin plug is easy to plug in and plug out – instead of ‘pinching’ the tiny knob you just scoop it out. The plug for the bathtub has an element floating on the surface of the water. This not only allows plugging in and out without leaning over the bathtub, but is also an extra safety feature for an overflow…

The name of the project is inspired by the Swedish tradition of a coffee break. ‘Fika’, which in Sweden is almost a social institution, is more than a pause at work: it is a sacred moment of talking and meeting people.
The word was created by exchanging syllables in the word ‘kaffi’ -the 19th century version ‘coffee’.
The flexibility of the word refers to the function of this outdoor chair, which pivoted, can be easily moved from one place to another. It was created to help people meet and talk.

Outdoor folding bench

This design is a simple, lightweight solution to the problem of foldable multi-person seating. The bench is easy to fold and store over winter, or overnight for commercial use. It’s simple and natural aesthetic also makes it perfect for gardens and terrrces.

This design provides a foldable space-saving solution for modern, open-plan living areas.

Many kitchens nowadays are connected to the living room to create one larger, open space. The only visible divider between the two functions is often a dividing bar, otherwise known as an “island”. Our chair can become a bar stool and functions with an “island”, as well as providing comfortable seating by a dining table. It can then be folded away completely after use.

The initial idea behind the project was to create an item of furniture that combines semantic codes that work with a child’s imagination, with a solid, structural form. The elephant stool’s form follows function, however the construction’s element’s are accentuated to allow for the stool’s animalistic character to become apparent. The stool’s stackability and different heights make it an ideal furniture solution for nurseries and kindergartens, however its abstract form makes it an endearing stool for general use.

The idea was to design easy to assemble “flat pack table”. The main part of the table is made out of simple and easily accessible materials like metal rods, bars and tubes. The table top is made from ash wood planks.

TRIM chairs for offices and public areas such as waiting-rooms or projecting halls. The TRIM chair and armchairs are characterized by a simple yet sophisticated form.

They are ligtweight and can be easily combined in sets depending on the functionality and arrangenment of the interior. Designed in such a way, so that they are stylistically consistent in various combinations. Technology used is based on cutting aluminium with laser, folding and upholstering.

Taka table

Corian® Du Pont is a material commonly used for the kitchen and bathroom counter tops. Developing a new product we decided not to search for yet another alternative application. Instead we proposed a new form and function for the flat surface of the table top.

In the project we used the qualities of Corian® as a solid, nonporous and certified for food contact material. ‘taka’ table is 180 cm long, 76 cm wide and 74 cm high and can accommodate 8 people. The surface of the table is uneven and faceted. It is indented with a number of irregular, polygonal shapes and turns the table top itself into a vessel. Among the cuts there are horizontal planes arranged so that the table can be used in a traditional manner.

By breaking the most basic characteristic of a table – its flat surface, it breaks the stereotype and opens up a discussion about the search for the new values – cultural, functional and aesthetic.

Working on a borderline of the Old and the New, we were tempted to reinterpret the most elementary object for storing – a wooden box.. Basing on its construction – using the slots in between the planks – we have developed a simple storage system based on the traditional way of connecting wood.

Parkower is a project for the city of Warsaw. The idea is to make the city space more accessible for cyclists. By the simple intervention in the existing elements of urban landscape – drilling holes in the street poles – the number of bicycle racks in the public spaces significantly increased.

6 degree

6 degrees is a flexible shelving system based on a module. Its diagonal sides support the falling books and it fits A5, A4 and bit bigger sizes. Single module works as a stool or a side table. More? Just choose your favourite configuration.

At first sight a bit chaotic, this flexible system is pure math: two modules lying horizontally on top of each other give the height of one module standing in a vertical position; and 6 is the number that differs it from the classic right angle

Koko was inspired by the fact of merging two traditionally separated aspects of life – work and relax. The rapid development of the mobile technology caused changes in our habits as well as in our living space: a sofa or a bed area more and more often turns into a working space.

Barn

Barn The shape of a wooden house – despite its simplicity and the use of natural material – is a strange and outstanding element in the natural landscape. This most primal proof of human existence seemed so forced into the environment of the wild nature that we decided to move it away from it.

Scaling down, changing the context and functions we have created an indoor landscape made of a series of objects. The barn – or house – like shaped furniture were given the functions of storage and more. Then, we have moved them back into the nature.

There, under the conditions of nature – the sun, the rain and the wind, they change and grow into yet something else. The project is open, growing, rooting and changing, like the landscape – both wild and teamed.

A soft blanket that folds into a baby carrier. It allows moving a sleeping baby from one place to another without waking it up. It folds in one move, just pulling the handles and it does not demand an assistance of another person.

Something out of nothing

Project recalls times when Fathers would make and repair their children’s toys by themselves, with the materials they had readily available. Toys created and built by a child’s parents carry a far greater emotional value, they are a statement of individuality and longevity.

Plugless Sink

Plugless sink is exactly that, a sink without a plughole. To get rid of the grey water we have to tip the water out. By doing so we become more conscious of how much water we are using and mainly throwing away. This sink shows the value of water through its volume and promotes water re-usage.

We were inspired by the old traditional bowls for domestic water usage; this sink allows to use the water in a more traditional and, we believe, much more enjoyable and pleasant way.

The City Feeders

The elements once moved into the city space gained new function and meaning. In the context of the city they turned into shelters with microclimate – microspaces. The City Feeders are mobile objects with high walls that isolate the person inside from the visual and acoustic noise.

Micorspaces project was announced during Łódź Design Festival.

The smell of wood and its natural texture help to move your mind to another reality. The wood inside the object has a good finish, while on the outside stays rough and crude.
