The initial idea behind the project was to create an item of furniture that combines semantic codes that work with a child's imagination, with a solid, structural form. The elephant stool's form follows function, however the construction's element's are accentuated to allow for the stool's animalistic character to become apparent. The stool's stackability and different heights make it an ideal furniture solution for nurseries and kindergartens, however its abstract form makes it an endearing stool for general use.
